And the names for '97 are. . .These are the names for 1997 hurricanes and tropical storms:
The National Hurricane Center has six lists of names for Atlantic and Caribbean storms. Each has 21 names. After all the sets have been used, they're repeated. The names of major hurricanes, such as Hugo and Andrew, are retired.
