Epilogue:
The End of an Era
Please step into the gallery. Notice the object in the center case. Here you see
a bejeweled Easter egg. Colored eggs are traditional Russian Easter gifts. The
last emperors commissioned extravagant eggs from the workshops of Carl
Fabergé. This egg shows each of the monarchs of the House of Romanov. This
astounding creation celebrates the 300th anniversary of the consecration of
Mikhail Feodorovich, the first Romanov czar.
