Telling tales in stone: Hieroglyphs at this temple pylon, or entrance wall, show the major goddess Hathor, pictured with cow's horns on her head to symbolize her position as a nurturer or wet nurse to the pharaohs. Between the horns is the sun disc, another symbol denoting importance.
